Upon graduation, Lou headed to Wall Street in New York where he worked as a retail broker for Shearson Lehman before joining OppenheimerFunds as a Vice President in 1989. He remained with Oppenheimer through 2003 and joined HF Financial in January 2004. Lou has been instrumental in building the Wealth Management Department. 


Lou’s expertise in Investment and Financial Services expands through Private Wealth Management, Corporate Retirement Planning, Retirement Income Distribution Planning, and Financial Planning. Lou and his team are devoted to analysis, due diligence, ongoing review, and providing the most appropriate investment solutions for our advisors to bring back to their clients. 


Lou and his team bring a breadth of experience while working with advisors and their clients’ investment strategies. Lou takes the time to understand each client’s needs and goals while he reviews their current portfolio. Then, he works closely with the advisor to design a strategy that fits into their overall approach.



Lou has appeared in the Charlotte Business Journal and Charlotte Observer on a number of occasions where the topics have ranged from Personal Financial Planning to establishing and maintaining Retirement Plans for businesses. Lou is a frequent presenter throughout the Carolinas at the request of many HF Financial Advisors. 



Lou moved to Charlotte in 1993, and he and his wife have four children. He has dedicated his community service towards sports ministries, support group facilitation, and high school group leadership through the ministry team at Calvary Church in Charlotte.
